DefineLaw is a static reference site. We do not ask you to enter personal information, and we do not upload or store anything about you. You can read every definition without creating an account or submitting any data, and there is no login, no profile, and no comment system on the site.

Information we do not collect

Because the site is a collection of static pages, there is no server-side application processing your input, and no database holding your details. Nothing you read is linked to you, and the pages themselves do not ask for your name, email, or address. If you contact us by email, we see only the message you choose to send and the address it comes from, and we use it only to respond.

Cookies

Like most websites, DefineLaw may use cookies and similar technologies to remember basic settings and to understand how the site is used in aggregate. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device that helps the site function and helps us measure traffic. If analytics are enabled, they are aggregated and anonymized and are not linked to any definition you read or to any identifying information about you. We use analytics only to understand which pages are useful and to keep the site reliable.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this page and the effective date. Because this is a static site, no personal data is collected that would need to be migrated, and the policy can therefore be read as simply as the site itself: we have nothing of yours to sell, share, or lose.
